Day two is complete at the SML Entertainment 9-Ball championship and Corey Deuel has become the first top player to be sent packing to the one-loss side. Deuel led Canadian Danny Hewitt 6-2 early in their match, but fell to Hewitt 11-10 in the end. Other top players joining Deuel on the one-loss side included Tyler Edey and Eric Hjorleifson.
The match between Deuel and Hewitt was just one of the matches to come down to one game. Earl Strickland, Brady Gollan, PJ Massicotte and Luc Salvas all won hill-hill matches on Wednesday.
Look for a marquee matchup on Thursday between Eddie Galati and Edwin Montal on the winners side.
