Anytime a major pool event makes it's way to Tennessee, players have to beware of the hot stick of Jonathan Hennessee. This weekend, at Sevierville Billiard Club in Sevierville TN, was no exception to that rule.
Hennessee looked well on his way to taking the hot-seat, as he led Tommy Kennedy 8-6. They say the hardest games to win are the first and last, and that proved to be case for Hennessee as he was unable to get past 8 and watched Kennedy come back to win the set 9-8.
Hennessee earned another shot against Kennedy, by beating BJ Ussery 9-8 on the one-loss side.
Hennessee made sure that he would not have to deal with any late match heroics from Kennedy again in the finals, as he took control of the set and cruised to an 11-4 win.
Hennessee earned $700 for first, while Kennedy settled for $400 in second place prize money. Ussery and Corey Morphew filled out the top four spots. Tiffany Stolv was the top finishing female, and 11 year old Dakota Scroggins was the top finishing junior. They each won $50 in bonus money.
The players were very pleased with the great Diamond Tables at Sevierville Billiard Club, and are looking forward to next weekend when they do it all again.
