Jonathan Hennessee's quest to repeat as Music City Classic Open Division Champion is over.
Hennessee looked good early, but then lost two straight matches to be eliminated from the event. Hennessee lost to Floyd Reasons on the winners side, and then lost to Nick Hickerson on the left side of the board.
Scotty Townsend is still alive on the one-loss side after back-to-back 11-10 wins over Mark Jarvis and then Nick Vita.
The winners side still includes top players including Jimmy Reid, Bobby Pickle and Brandon Ashcraft. Ashcraft scored an 11-7 win over James Baraks on Friday to remain undefeated.
Online brackets are posted for the open event and the ladies and scotch doubles events will get underway Friday evening.
