In a tight quarter-final match, Ine Helvik (NOR) came out on top of Jennifer Vietz (GER) with 7:6.
The Dynamic Billiards Women Euro-Tour Treviso Open provided some interesting matches in the quarter-final round. Ine Helvik had to deal with Jennifer Vietz. Helvik opened her account and started to score but Vietz did not allow her to get away at all. Every shot was well planned and carefully executed. No wonder, since both women played on the same level and could not afford to let the opponent get away too far. Consequently, the match went over the full distance of 13 racks. Helvik took the lead in the match three times while Vietz was able to lead the way twice. Vietz was on the hill first and put a tremendous amount of pressure on Helvik. But the Norwegian handled that and tied the match at 6:6, just to win another rack and make her way into the semi-final of the event. She will meet her compatriot Martine Christiansen who defeated Natalya Seroshtan (RUS) with 7:2.
The other semi-final will be played between Ina Kaplan (GER) and Ana Majirina (RUS). Kaplan took out Barbara Bolfelli (ITA) with 7:2 while Majirina ended all hopes of Oliwia Czuprynska (POL) 7:5 in the previous round.
