The last regular season Tour event before the 2007 Season Finale saw 18 ladies come To Fast Eddie's Billiards on South Gulf Freeway location in Houston to compete on Fast Eddies Olhausen 9 Ball Tour sponsored by Schuler Legacy Cues. As always they were ready to play and have fun.
Top picks for this month's event were Kyu Yi, Belinda Lee, Melinda Hinojosa, and Terry Petrosino.
The 4th place slot belonged to Jennifer Kraber of Austin who is always right there. Jen took home $135.
Belinda Lee is another tough competitor and finished in 3rd place. She took home $250 for her fine work.
The hot seat match was between Helen Hayes of San Antonio and Melinda Hinojosa of the Dallas-Ft. Worth area. Melinda had a determined look and captured the hot seat by a score of 7-4.
In the final match, Helen also knows a bit about determination and returned to get even with Melinda by winning the first set 7-4.
With both ladies playing lights out, Helen decided to keep it going and won the second set as well by a score of 7-6.
Melinda played a great tournament and played well in the finals, but sometimes the table is just not very forgiving. Still, a great job. Melinda Gayle took home $400 for her day's work.
What can you say about Helen other than to know her is to love her. She is a tough competitor and it was very obvious she was very happy about her first win on Fast Eddie's Olhausen 9 Ball Tour. Everyone was. Helen took home $630 for her win.
