Heather Lloyd rebounded from the one loss side to defeat Leslie Anne Rogers in the finals and win the Hunter Classics Women's Tour stop at Magoo's in Tulsa, Ok.
Lloyd was undefeated through Saturday and started Sunday with a convincing 7-2 win over Michelle McDermott. The match for the hot-seat was one Lloyd would like to forget as she lost 7-3 to Leslie Anne Rogers.
A hard fought 7-4 win over Julia Gabriel on the one loss side earned Lloyd a shot at redemption and another match with Rogers in the true double elimination finals.
The first set of the finals saw Lloyd score a 7-3 win and force a second set. Rogers took control of the second set early and had a 5-2 lead, but was unable to close the deal. Lloyd came back to score a 7-6 win for first place.
The WPBA Qualifier for the the Midwest Classic in October came down to Kim Pierce and Michelle McDermott who tied for 5th place. The two ladies played one race to seven to determine the winner of the qualifier and McDermott cruised to a 7-1 win.
