Aliso Viejo, CA – September 20, 2012: GoPlayPool.com has released their smartphone application and website. These products are both free for the end user. The application and website are aimed at offering players and fans a place to find pool halls, sports bars, products, services and more in a user-friendly format. There is no charge to download the application, which has been released to the App Store and Google Play for iOS and Android based smartphones and tablets.
GoPlayPool.com features a large list of pool halls and sports bars organized by city and state, as well as a calendar of events, interesting facts and information about the industry, and advertising opportunities for product and service providers.
GoPlayPool.com has a calendar of events on the website and on the mobile applications. Users can submit events to GoPlayPool.com for free by filling out a form and providing either a flier or tournament information.
Users can interact with the website through social media, and by sharing photos, as well as adding input and suggestions toward improving the products offered.
GoPlayPool.com was a long process that was thought of in 2009. It was founded by Mary Ann Starkey in 2012 after many months of compiling data. She is an avid fan of cue sports, as well as an up and coming player in Southern California. Her goal is to provide fellow players and fans with a common place to find information and tools surrounding the game.
“Using the GPS and location-based maps on GoPlayPool’s smartphone application, you can find pool halls and sports bars in your area, as well as find out what amenities they provide, not just cue sports.” said GoPlayPool.com’s Founder, Mary Ann Starkey. “We want users to be able to find their new favorite place to play and know exactly what they’ll find when they get there. Our hope is to create the largest membership of pool halls and sports bars across the United States, because we all know how pool players love to travel!”
Pool rooms can become members of GoPlayPool.com and provide valuable information about their establishment. While the website and mobile application are billiards focused, the room profiles of member pool rooms will have an expanded selection of information, such as their menu, if they are a family establishment, and even if they have big screen TV’s and so on. GoPlayPool.com is also offering a 30 day free trial when rooms sign up for a membership.
GoPlayPool.com will also be working with AZBilliards.com. A tab on the application, as well as dedicated sections on the website will allow users to access the AZ Billiards website. Partnering with AZ Billiards gives users access to news and other information from the billiards industry, not just in the U.S. but throughout the world.
