The 2003 Glass City Open will get underway on Wednesday with roughly 117 players competing for the $40,000 in added prize money.
Originally started in 1985 by Larry Kahan, The Glass City Open ran until 1992 when Kahan passed away. The tournament was revived by Tom Gearhart and Tom Elder last year with a field of 92 players. This year promises to be even stronger than last year with top seeds like Danny Harriman, Keith McCready, Earl Strickland, Tommy Kennedy, Corey Deuel, Ronnie Wiseman, Allen Hopkins, Mike Davis, Johnny Archer, Larry Nevel, Buddy Hall, Tony Watson, Shawn Putnam, John Schmidt, Danny Basavich, Santos Sambajon and the reigning champion Nick Varner.
Brackets are drawn and will be updated all week long. Also look for pictures all week from Diana Hoppe and Mark Whiteside who are both at the event.
