The field at the 2003 Glass City Open has been narrowed to eight players at the end of play on Saturday.
On the winners side, Corey Deuel will take on Johnny Archer and Shawn Putnam will face Danny Basavich. Deuel looks to be back to his old form and rolled over Gabe Owen 10-3 on Saturday. Of course, Archer has been the hottest player in the game all year and Deuel will face his hands full.
On the one loss side, Brandon Ashcraft will place Earl Strickland and hometown hero Steve McAninch will play Danny Harriman. McAninch lost 10-5 to Shawn Putnam on Saturday, but bounced back with a 10-8 win over Eric Durbin on the one-loss side. In the other match on the one loss side, Brandon Ashcraft will attempt to keep his winning streak alive against Earl Strickland. Ashcrash lost his first match of the tournament and has won eight straight since then, including 3 hill-hill matches.
