Ga-Young Kim
The official website for the Women's World Championship is reporting that Ga-Young Kim has defeated Shin-Mei Liu 11-9 to win the title and the $6,000 first prize.
Liu, the defending champion from last year, was trying to win her third title while Kim was working on her first. Both players were undefeated in the trip to the finals with Kim earning her spot in the finals with an 11-5 win over Xiao-Ting Pan from China while Liu earned her spot with an 11-7 win over WPBA #2 ranked Karen Corr.
