Rockaway Billiards in Rockaway NJ was where the 6th Stop of the Hampton Ridge 9 Ball tour was held special thanks to Bob Guerra for hosting the event.
Leading the way on the winners side top bracket was Eddie Abraham and on the bottom half was Bristol Bob they both went through their bracket with ease. That left Bristol and Abraham fighting for the hot seat, this was a great match which went hill-hill. Bristol Bob missed a shot on the 4 ball which cost him the game and the match, Eddie Abraham ran out from there sending Bristol Bob to the one lost side.
After losing his first match 7-5 to James Conn, Frankie Hernandez went through the one loss side winning his next six matches. Frankie Hernandez waited to see who he would be playing between Abraham or Bristol Bob. It was Bristol Bob vs Frankie Hernandez with the winner going to the finals against Eddie Abraham. Hernandez jumped to a 6-2 lead, Bristol fought his way back making it 6-6. Bristol had a chance to win the match, Bristol was lining up a 2-9 combo when he stood up because he forgot to call the 9 ball. When Bristol got back down on the shot he rushed it and missed the shot leaving a wide open table for Hernandez to run out. Frankie Hernandez won the match 7-6 sending him to the finals.
In the finals it was Hernandez vs Abraham. Eddie Abraham Jumped to a 2-0 lead but Frankie Hernandez came right back making it 2-2. Abraham won the next 2 games making it 4-2 but Hernandez came back again winning the next 2 making it 4-4. Hernandez won the next 4 games making the score 8-4. When it was all said and done Frankie Hernandez won the match 9-5 giving him Hampton Ridge 6th stop.
