As day four of the US Open draws to an end, the first big names have been shown to the stands for the duration of the event. Rodney Morris, Ismael Paez, Wade Crane and Allen Hopkins were all eliminated in Thursday matches.
Players advancing into Friday play undefeated included Nick van den Berg, Charlie Williams, Ernesto Dominguez, Ralf Souquet, Niels Feijen, Jeremy Jones, Alex Pagulayan, Francisco Bustamante, Johnny Archer and Troy Frank. Troy Frank followed up his Wednesday win over BCA Open 9-Ball Champion Thorsten Hohmann with an 11-10 win over World Pool Masters Champion Raj Hundal. Frank will have his hands full with Johnny Archer on Friday.
Other marquee matches scheduled for Friday include Pagulayan vs Bustamante and Domingez vs Williams.
