Allison Fisher exacted her revenge on Jeanette Lee and re-claimed the title at the Ladies Challenge of Champions held Friday at the Mohegan Sun Casino in Uncasville, CT.
Fisher started the four player event with a straght sets win over Karen Corr, the #1 ranked played on the WPBA Tour. After Lee defeated Helena Thornfeldt, the finals were set as a rematch of the finals from last year.
At hill-hill in the first set of the finals, Lee was unfortunate to pocket the 9-ball on the break and had no shot on the one when the 9-ball was spotted due to the unique rules of this event. After a push-out by Lee, Fisher played a safety that left no shot for Lee and Fisher ran the rack with ball-in-hand.
The unfortunate break may have played on Lee's confidence as Fisher cruised to victory in the second set of the finals.
Fisher earned $25,000 in the 'winner take all' event.
