Day three at the WPBA Great Lakes Classic is complete and we now know the players in Sunday's television matches.
On match will pit #1 ranked Allison Fisher against longtime rival Karen Corr. The other match will feature Sarah Ellerby taking on Kelly Fisher.
Allison's path through the single elimination stages on Saturday featured a 9-5 win over Tiffany Nelson followed by a 9-1 victory over Anna Kostanian. Kostanian had eliminated Fisher in Charlotte earlier this month, but Fisher earned her revenge this time.
Corr's final two matches on Saturday were a 9-4 win over Dawn Hopkins and a 9-5 win over Jeanette Lee. While Lee certainly wanted to finish higher, she can't be completely disappointed with a 5th place finish.
Sarah Ellerby has the least experience this late in the tournament, but she scored back to back 9-7 wins over Jennifer Chen and Monica Webb to earn her match against Kelly Fisher on Sunday.
Fisher had two tough matches to end her Saturday. A 9-7 win over Vivian Villarreal was followed up by a hill-hill thriller against defending Champion Xiao-Ting Pan. Pan had the all-important break at hill-hill, but failed to pocket a ball on that break. Fisher ran the rack from there to eliminate Pan.
