Allison Fisher took a step towards defending her title at the Ladies Tournament of Champions on Thursday evening as she defeated Helena Thornfeldt 5-2 and 5-2.
The first set slipped out of Thornfeldt's grasp when she failed to get out in rack six. She broke the balls well, but was unable to maneuver her way through the rack. This saw what could have been a 3-3 match change into a 4-2 lead for Fisher.
The second set may have ended in the same score, but it was dominated by Fisher who played at top form.
The finals will feature Fisher vs Jeanette Lee, who defeated Karen Corr 5-2 and 5-4 earlier on Thursday. The winner of the final match will pocket $25,000 in prize money.
