Side Pocket in Richmond, Virginia, recently hosted the Fifth Annual One Pocket Shoot Out with $2000 guaranteed added and an entry of $75 for the participants. Over the weekend of December 6th-7th, one name stood out above the rest of the thirty-four player field, that being Leonardo Andam.
Andam went undefeated throughout the weekend until running into Eric Moore for the hot-seat. Although it was quite a close nail biter, Moore yanked the win from Andam 3-2 to await his eventual return from the one-loss side in the final round.
All the while, Matt Clatterbuck and Kris Mele were fighting it out to determine fourth place, both Andam and Moore could only watch on to see who would find their way out. The wait was not a long one as Mele didn't have much of a chance against Clatterbuck this time around, ending on a 2-0 note. The semis pitted Clatterbuck and Andam together and the match was a bit closer, but Andam wanted another crack at Moore and he caused that to come to fruition passing Clatterbuck 2-1 to secure his spot in the finals.
The final arena gave Andam a chance at revenge against Moore and with a race to five, it was anyone's game, but on this day, Andam sailed to victory with a 5-2 finish.
