Tuesday, April 19, 2011:This September 29th, 2011 through October 1st, 2011, the Euro-Tour will be hosting events in the Hotel Eger & Park in Eger, Hungary, a city located around 140 km east of Budapest. The Euro-Tour will be playing a 10-ball tournament, followed by The "Beassy 9-Ball World Class Open" which will be the second of three tournaments which are organized by the Beassy Groupâ„¢. Following that, there will be the "Beassy 8-Ball World's Top Guns" event.
Beassy Groupâ„¢ is a company that markets luxury cue sticks that was founded by Hungarian female top player Beatrix Dobossy. "The founding of Beassy Groupâ„¢ goes back about five years when I met a cue maker and the decision was taken to make a very special cue stick for me", said Dobossy. "At that time the idea was born to produce handmade luxury cues with a lot of artistic things on it. Every cue is unique and special".
In order to promote the new luxury cue series, a week of billiards will happen in Eger, Hungary. The beginning of the festival week will be the Euro-Tour tournament. "I want to promote and help the sport in Hungary", stated Dobossy. "Bringing superstars to Hungary is always a good thing", the young entrepreneur adds. "We have to do some marketing for the sport here. That's why I decided to bring the events to Hungary". The total prize money for the Euro--Tour will be 42.000,-€. According to Dobossy, the other two tournaments will also bring around 60.000,-€ added to the players. The president of the IBP, David Morris, expects a positive impact on the European pool-billiard scene: "I have seen the site and venue and I know about the program. I think it will be a very positive week for billiards in Europe".
Players from all over the World will be invited to play in these tournaments. "We expect participation from Europe, America and Asia", Dobossy pointed out.
The Euro-Tour event will be hosted by the European Governing Body for Pool, the European Pocket Billiard Federation (EPBF) and organized by International Billiard Promotion (IBP). For further information please go to the event website www.eurotouronline.eu or contact our press office.
