Paul Enslin went undefeated through a field of 21 entrants, on hand for the $500-added Dishaw Cues Central New York Tour stop on Saturday, April 2. The event was hosted by Hippo's House of Billiards in Utica, NY.
Enslin's path went through Dwight Dixon twice; first among the winners' side final four and again in the finals. He sent Dixon west 7-5 to get into the hot seat match versus Vic Conte, Jr., who'd defeated Willie Oney 8-6. Enslin gained the hot seat with a 7-3 victory over Conte, Jr.
Dixon moved over, first facing Mike Donnelly, who'd defeated Steve Sobers and Chris Testa, both 7-3, to face him. Oney drew Jared Zimmerman, who'd gotten by Jed Jecen 7-2, and Hendrik Drost 7-4. It was Oney and Dixon advancing to the quarterfinals; Oney with an 8-2 victory over Zimmerman, Dixon 7-5 over Donnelly. Dixon and Oney battled to double hill, before Dixon advanced to take on Conte, Jr. in the semifinals.
Dixon dispatched Conte, Jr. with moderate ease 7-2, and turned for his second match versus Enslin. Enslin, though, increased his earlier winning margin by a rack, defeating Dixon 7-4 to take home the top prize.
Tour representatives thanked sponsors Dishaw Custom Cues, Cue Shark, Brian's One Day Cleaners, Pipe Works Plumbing, TotalPoolInfo, and Custom Logo USA for their support.
