The Seminole Tribe of Florida Empire State Championship kicked off today with a strong field of 103 players. Even with other events being played around the country, this is a power packed field competing for the title. The Seminole Pro Tour has worked closely with the Blatt Billiards Predator 9-Ball Tour to put on this $6,500 Added event hosted by Raxx Pool Room, Sports bar & Grill in West Hempstead, NY.
There are 8 players returning on the winner's side including notable names Tony Crosby, Shawn Wilkie, Al Lapena, and John Ditoro. DiToro and Crosby have brought the Florida flavor to this New York championship, playing fantastic pool throughout the day. The 1-loss side is stacked with talent with the likes of Matt Krah, Stevie Moore, Dennis Hatch, Tony Robles, Mike Davis, George Sansouci, and returning Empire State Champion Marc Vidal. All 24 Players return to combat at 12:00pm tomorrow.
A big thank you to Raxx Pool Room owner Holden Chin for being such a gracious host, and providing an absolutely beautiful facility.
Thanks to Delta-13 Racks, as they once again have brought a top notch rack to the tournament.
