Dutch young gun Nick van den Berg beat Swiss player Michael Tschudi 11-7 in the finals of the Paris Open, Sunday Night. The in-form Dutchman ran six and out and eight and out earlier in this prestigious event, where players such as Ralf Souquet, Fabio Petroni and Imran Majid were all eliminated earlier on.
23-year old El Nino from the Netherlands surely proves he is in top-shape for the Mosconi Cup in December in Vegas. His results of the last few months are impressive: 9th at the BCA Open, 5th at the International Challenge of Champions, 5th at the World Pool masters, 2nd at the Euro/Worldtour, winner of the Club 8 Amsterdam Tournament 2003 and now winner of the Paris Open 2003.
Nick pockets 5,000 USD for his first place, where Tschudi settles for 2.500 USD.
