Two weeks ago, the top Arizona players made their way to California to compete in the Jay Swanson Memorial. This weekend the roles are reversed and the Arizona players are being challenged by the best players from outside of Arizona at the 2nd Annual Desert Dust Off at Alexanders Sports Bar in Phoenix.
Action started on Friday night with a field of 119 players that included top seeds Jose Parica, Shane Van Boening, Jeremy Jones, Max Eberle, Kim Davenport, Billy Palmer, Ernesto Dominguez and Tang Hoa. Those are just a few of the out of staters at this event. Just about every top Arizona player is at this one including Scott Frost, Jimmy Mendoza, Doug Hale, Tony Confalone, Terry Osborne, Dennis Orender, Mike Pankoff and Mike Sandoval to name a few.
The first round of play is complete with Tang Hoa, Scott Frost and Terry Osborne all taking early trips to the one loss side.
