The 2007 Derby City Classic kicked off at the Executive West Hotel in Louisville Kentucky on Friday with more than 450 players competing in the Bank Pool Event.
The Executive West is newly remodeled and the changes definitely show this year.
As is usually the case at Derby, just about every major player in the game is in attendance for the 9 day event. Such notables as Efren Reyes, Jose Parica, Francisco Bustamante, Buddy Hall, Ralf Souquet, Earl Strickland, Thorsten Hohmann, Shawn Putnam, Evgeny Stalev Fabio Petroni, Santos Sambajon and Charlie Williams were seen on Friday trying to get the speed of the tables down.
