The 12th Annual Derby City Classic kicked off on Friday with 356 players competing in the banks division.
While this number is down from the last couple of years, there is certainly no shortage of top talent with names like Efren Reyes, Francisco Bustamante, Alex Pagulayan, Jose Parica, Santos Sambajon, Shane Van Boening, Shannon Daulton and many more listed as competitors.
Day one will see play in the first round of the banks division with two marquee matches. At the time of this report, Shane Van Boening had already defeated young gun Jon Morra 3-1 and Roberto Gomez is scheduled to play Danny Harriman later in the day.
