It was a different room than last month, but it was still the same two players in the finals and the same final results at the Western Women's Regional Tour stop at The Blue Fin in Monterey, CA.
Michelle Rakin made her way through a field of 30 other players to take the hot-seat with a 7-6 win over her opponent in last month's finals, Jane Fujinaga. Fujinaga bounced back with a win over Michelle's sister Mary Rakin on the one-loss side to set up the rematch with Michelle in the finals.
The last two times Rakin and Fujinaga had faced each other on the tour, it was Rakin scoring a hill-hill win. This time was a little different though, as Rakin dominated the match and cruised to a 7-1 win.
Rakin collected $390 for first place, while Fujinaga settled for $265. Mary Rakin and Helen Gaughran filled out the top four spots.
The WWR Tour will be at The Broken Rack in Emeryville, CA on September 18th-19th for their next event.
