In the end, Shannon Daulton did not leave the Music City Classic empty handed.
After the main event finished on Sunday night, Daulton along with Pooky Rasmeloungon, Scott Townsend, David Matlock, James Walden and Jonathan Hennessee competed in a $500 entry 10-ball ring game.
The event was ran by Steve McDonald, who ran the Midnight Madness event that Hennessee won on Saturday night. Things were a little different for Hennessee on this night as he did not win a rack and was the first eliminated. Rasmeloungon was next, followed by Scotty Townsend and then James Walden.
This left Daulton and Matlock with Matlock holding an 1800 chip lead over Daulton at 9900-8100, and each game worth 2000 chips. After five racks at 2000 a rack, Matlock had extended his lead to 11900-6100 when Daulton took control of the game. By the time the 26th rack started, Matlock was 'all in' and Daulton won the game for the $3000 payday.
