The Joss NE 9-Ball Tour was in action on the weekend of December 1st and 2nd at Ballbusters Billiards in Binghamton NY with a field of 34 players competing for $4720 in prize money.
With some of the tour's usual heavyweights competing in other events, the field was wide open for another new player to make their way to the winners circle.
Dan Heidrich emerged from the winners side to take the hot-seat with a 9-8 win over Chance Chin on Sunday.
Chin earned another shot at Heidrich in the finals after he eliminated Lyn Wechsler 9-5 on the one loss side.
Unfortunately for Chin, it was deju-vu all over again as Heidrich scored another 9-8 win in the first set of the finals.
Heidrich earned $1300 for first place; his first win on the Joss Tour. Chin settled for $920 in prize money.
The Joss NE 9-Ball Tour will be at Raxx Pool Room and Grill in West Hempstead, NY next weekend for a $2000 added event. Mike Zuglan is also taking sign-ups for the Turning Stone Classic X 9-Ball Open at Turning Stone Casino in Verona, NY on February 21 - 24. This event filled up last time and a number of top pros were not able to play. Zuglan can be reached at 518-356-7163.
