Corey Deuel has surprised the Snooker World by defeating the three-time United States Snooker Champion, Ahmed El-Sayed, and moving himself into the semi-finals of the 2013 Championship. Al-Sayed was listed as the firm favorite but he stayed in the match throughout and won by potting the final blue ball in the fifth frame. There seems to be some 'discussion' as to Deuel's pace of play as it was described as 'methodical', the usual code for "one or both players slowed this down to where it was miserable to watch."
