Cooke Stands The Heat For Jacoby Tour Win

Tommy Cooke

The Jacoby Custom Cues Carolina Tour was hosted by Dot's Cue Club in Rocky Mount, NC on May 5th.

Tommy Cooke sliced and diced his way to the hotseat with wins over Robert Ray (7-4), Mike Bullard (7-4) and Phillip Richardson (7-4).

Meanwhile, Ray took the long road to the championship match. After defeating Tony Davis (7-4), Ray was quickly sent to the one-loss side by Cooke (7-4). Ray proceeded to make short work of Wayne Richardson (7-2), Joe Whaley (7-1) and Bullard (7-3). One more win over Phillip Richardson (7-4) and the rematch with Cooke was on.

Cooke won the lag but came up dry on the break. After trading turns at the table, Cooke finally sank the nine to take the first game. A close match all the way, it seemed both players wanted the cash equally. Cooke never relinquished the lead, however, and went on to take the final match (9-8).

The next stop on the Jacoby Tour will be at Emerald City in Greenville, NC, June 2nd.
