Max Eberle
Max Eberle (born 1972) is a USA pro and is the only player in history to have won the Derby City Classic 14.1 Challenge (2013), the National Collegiate Championship (1993 & 1994), and the BCA Junior National Championship (1991). Max won the Jay Swanson Memorial 9-Ball Championship in Las Vegas in 2020 and perhaps over a thousand tournaments of various sizes in his lifetime. Max has beaten nineteen WPA world champions and counting, and has won tv matches on multiple continents, representing the USA in many world championships abroad and has performed exhibitions in many countries. Max has two third place finishes in the world 14.1 tournament and was within a point of being picked for the USA Mosconi Cup Team on three separate occasions (2003, 2004, 2019). In 2019 he won a critical point for team USA on live television in an exciting hill-hill match thriller at the Kremlin Cup in Moscow, Russia versus 2019 world 9-Ball champion Fedor Gorst of team Russia, which retained the lead for the team en route to another USA victory. Max has high runs of 237 balls in straight pool and 10 consecutive break and runs in 9-Ball. A professional coach for 29 years now, Max has thousands of students across the world including former BCA Junior National Champion, the late-great Brendan Crockett, who Max worked with on his fundamentals in the year preceding Brendan's National Championship victory. Max is the founder of Pro Pool Academy (propoolacademy.com) and is the author of multiple books and dvds including the book "Zen Pool, Awaken The Master Within" and the DVD Set "Powerful Powerful Pool, World Class Fundamentals, The Seven Primary Skills," which was the first detailed video on advanced professional fundamentals ever produced. Max's coaching has been highly sought after by celebrities of the likes of Joe Rogan and pool aficionados from all walks of life. Max has worked on multiple hollywood productions for his pool expertise and continues coaching and playing to this day.
