The Joss Northeast 9-Ball Tour drew a field of 46 players to T.J.'s Classic Billiards in Waterville, ME for this weekend's tour stop.
With some of the top players on the tour away in other events, the tournament was wide open for a fresh face to be crowned. Jarrod Clowery stepped to the plate and took that position early as he defeated Mike Minichello for the hot-seat.
Minichello went to the B-Side of the board and ran into Joss Tour director Mike Zuglan who handed him loss #2 and a third place finish. This set up the final match between Zuglan and Clowery.
The match was close by Clowery had too much for Zuglan at the end and won the match 9-6 for his first Joss Tour win since March of last year.
Clowery pocketed $1700 for the win, while Zuglan took home $1180 for second. Minichello and Dave Hall from Portland Maine filled out the top four spots.
The Joss NE 9-Ball Tour will be at Renaissance Billiard Club in Quincy, MA for a big $7500 added event.
