Sunday January 3rd the Dominiak Cues Northeast 10-Ball Tour came to Worcester, MA for tour stop #8 at the popular London Billiards. The tour would like to thank London and the staff for being a great host to the tour.
Despite the 50 mile per hour winds and snow conditions we saw many tour regulars walk in the door ready to play, including tour regulars Gene Hunt, Mike Wheeler, Chuck Hill, Rodney Polak, Brandon Charin, Ray Belden, Dave Walsh and Tony Hubbard. The tour welcomed new players to the tour Scott Kealy and Roger Vivier.
The top half of the winners bracket would see Gene Hunt making his way to the hot seat match with steady shotmaking. The bottom half of the winners side would see tour regular Brandon Charin make his way to the hot seat to play Gene Hunt for a spot in the finals displaying steady shotmaking himself. The hot seat match would see Gene Hunt on a mission and overcame Brandon to earn his spot in the finals.
The 1 loss side would see tour regular and last tour stop winner Chuck Hill take wins over Tony Hubbard, Roger Vivier and then Brandon Charin for a shot to get back at Gene Hunt after gene sent him to the B side of the chart with a 5-0 drubbing. Congrats To Brandon Charin and Roger Vivier for strong 3rd and 4th place finishes respectively.
Around 7pm the 1 set finals was called to the table between Gene Hunt and Chuck Hill. Chuck took advantage of his early match opportunities and gained a lead of 5-0 in the extended race to 6 finals, but Gene Hunt wasn't about to give up and won game 6 to make the score 5-1. But Chuck would prove to remain red hot and take the next game to end the match and take home his second tour stop win in a row!.
