Hawaiian sensation Phoebe Choy went undefeated through a field of forty players to win the Hunter Classics Womens Tour event at Paradise billiards in Denver Colorado.
Choy started play on Sunday with a 7-5 win over Terri Kelley who recently finished third at the BCA Open 8-Ball Championships Masters Division. That set up the hot-seat match with Julie Stephenson, that Choy won 7-3.
Stephenson lost her next match to Leslie Anne Rogers 7-4, to set up the true double elimination finals.
The final match between Choy and Rogers started out close, but Choy eventually pulled away and won 7-3 to clinch the victory and the qualifier for the WPBA Cuetec Cues Canadian Classic.
Choy collected $750 in addition to the qualifier, and Rogers settled for $550 for second. Stephenson and Pam Bell filled out the top four spots.
Ten ladies competed in the second chance tournament on Sunday, which was won by Julia Gabriel.
The Hunter Tour will be at Speed's in Arlington, TX for another WPBA qualifier on July 12th - 13th.
