Chinese Sweep at China Open
With an 11-7 win over Filipino Antonio Lining, Taipei's Yu Lung Chang completed an Asian sweep at the 2010 China Open.
Chang started his day with an 11-7 win over Lee Van Corteza; arguably the top player in the Phillipines today, while Lining was scoring an 11-7 win over Chang's countryman Hai Tao Liu of China.
Earlier in the day, the ladies division came to and end with China's Si Meng Chen scoring a 9-7 win over Allison Fisher for the win. It was the second 9-7 loss in the finals of a major for Fisher as she lost to Xiao-Fang Fu 9-7 at the Women's World 9-Ball Championship. The second place finish will move Fisher back to the top of the WPA Points List.
The wins were worth $40,000 for Chang and $26,000 for Chen.
