Day three matches are underway at the WPBA Great Lakes Classic and we already have two upsets.
Tournament surprise Yu Ram Cha has scored another upset as she defeated Helena Thornfeldt 9-6. The loss eliminated Thornfeldt and earned Cha a spot in the single elimination final sixteen.
The other upset of the morning saw Megan Minerich defeat Gerda Hofstatter 9-5. This was Minerich's first Classic Tour Stop this year and she has made it into the final sixteen single elimination stage.
Other players making their way into the final sixteen from the one loss side were Dawn Hopkins and Vivian Villarreal. Hopkins defeated Joanne Ashton 9-3 and Villarreal defeated Janet Atwell 9-2.
Waiting for these players on the winners side are the top eight undefeated players. This group consists of Allison Fisher, Anna Kostanian, Jeanette Lee, Karen Corr, Xiao-Ting Pan, Kelly Fisher, Sarah Ellerby and Ga-Young Kim.
