What hurricane? Just as with the US Open, 50-100 mile hour winds could not stop the Chesapeake Area Tour (CAT) from forging ahead with this weekends qualifier event. In the beautiful new Champion Billiard Sports Cafe in Frederick, Maryland 16 determined women gathered to play for a spot to the 2003 WPBA National Championships.
The tournament, which also was sponsored by Coors Light, included players from as far as New York, Ohio and Connecticut. Sunday's rounds will feature the final four, Ellie Chang, Gail Grecar, Sueyen Rhee and Holly Ryan. Play will start at 12 noon.
