The Viking Cue 9-Ball Tour held another amateur stop this weekend at TJ's Billiards in Huntington, WV.
Joe Arbuckle took the hot-seat with a 5-3 win over Mike Cantrell. Cantrell took the trip to the one-loss side to take on Keith Jones. The match was neck-and-neck until the 3-3 mark when Jones just seemed to run out of gas. Cantrell went on to win the next two games and take the match 5-3.
The true double elimination finals saw Cantrell jump out to a 4-1 lead and then be forced to sit and watch as Arbuckle came back to tie the match at 4-4. Cantrell pulled out the set with a win in rack nine to force a second set. The second set started out as a carbon copy of the first with Cantrell cruising to a 4-1 lead. Cantrell learned his lesson from the previous set and did not allow Arbuckle any breathing room as he went ahead and won the sixth game to capture first place.
Cantrell earned $400 for first place with Arbuckle taking $250 for second. Jones and Justin Lazaro filled out the top four spots.
The Viking Cue 9-Ball Tour's next amateur stop will be at Blackie's Billiards in Sharon, PA on December 5th for their next stop.
