Butch Croft went undefeated to win the The Jacksonville Open at Bank Shot Billiards in Jacksonville, Florida.
Croft cruised through the field on this one day SE Open 9-Ball Tour stop starting with a 7-0 win over junior player Nick Applebee. That match was followed up with a 7-4 win over Rick Howard and then a 9-5 win over Neil Fujiwara. That win set Croft up to play Tour director Tommy Kennedy for the hot-seat, which Croft took with a 9-5 win.
Kennedy took the detour though the one-loss side and defeated Mike Staubes 9-7 to earn the rematch with Croft in the finals. The final match was close, but in the end it was Croft with an 11-9 win.
Croft earned $655 for first place, while Kennedy pocketed $500 for second. Staubes and Chad Tavnier filled out the top four spots. Rachael Manning was the top female finisher and Nick Applebee was the top junior finisher. They each won $50.
The SE Open 9-Ball Tour will be at The Crooked Cue in Waynesville, NC on January 29th-30th for their next stop.
