The 13th stop of the Hampton Ridge 9 ball tour was held at Castle Billiards in East Rutherford NJ Special thanks to Scott and Minnie for hosting the event. It was a strong field lead by Josh Brothers and "Forty" on the winners side.
Wali Muhammad and Randy Schwager played to see who would move on and who would settle for 5th. Randy put up a good fight but came up a little short as Wali won the match 7-4. On the bottom half of the bracket it was Carmen Lombardo playing Bob Maidhof. This was also a great match with Bob finishing on top 7-6, leaving Carmen to settle for 5th.
Wali Muhammad and Bob Maidhof then played for the second time in the tournament. The first time Bob won 7-6 and the second time around there was no difference as Bob lead from the very beginning and won the match 7-5 leaving Wali to settle for 4th place.
On the winners side it was Josh Brothers and Forty going at it. Josh was in dead stroke, not giving Forty a chance, and won the match easily 7-1 giving him the hot seat and sending Forty to the one loss side where Bob Maidhof was waiting. Bob and Forty played a great match but when it was all over Bob won the match 7-4.
In the finals It was Josh Brothers Vs Bob Maidhof. This was a very exciting match as Josh Brothers jumped out to a 4-0 lead before Bob came back and won the next 2 games making it 4-2. Josh won the next 2 but Bob would not give up. Bob won the next 4 games to tie it at 6-6 in a race to 9. Josh turned it up a gear and won the next 2 games giving him the lead 8-6 putting him on the hill. Bob could only win one more game before Josh won the match 9-7.
