Tommy Kennedy and the South East Open 9-Ball Tour were at Murphy's Brass Rail in Athens, Georgia this weekend for the Athens 9 Ball Open.
Two top seeds took quick trips to the one-loss side as both Kennedy and Brian White found themselves victims to losses on Saturday.
The match for the hot-seat turned out to be a family battle with Jim Jennings beating son Marty Jennings hill-hill. Marty then lost to Brian White who had taken the long way to get to the finals.
Brian was able to ride his momentum into the finals and beat Jennings 11-7 for the tournament win.
White earned $660, while Jim Jennings settled for $500 in second place prize money. Marty Jennings and Bruce Berrong filled out the top four spots.
Tour director Tommy Kennedy thanked new tour sponsor David Adams as well as Grace and her whole family for hosting this event. Special thanks to Lane for taking care of the players all weekend long.
