Following the ‘Dynamic' Youth Manchester Open on 25th November, BPPPA President Ted Bristow was rushed by ambulance to hospital with chest pains that evening.
The BPPPA Press Office state that Mr Bristow only spent 24 hours in Wythenshawe Hospital for treatment and was admitted to the cardiac department for observations. It is further reported that he is awaiting arterial bypass surgery which is scheduled for early 2007. Meanwhile, he remains on medication and this will not affect his role as Tournament Director at all BPPPA Tournaments.
Mr Bristow humorously commented “ It was just another little scare but I am feeling just fine now. My warning to everyone is stop smoking! I have a great team who assist me with Tournaments and that relieves a lot of pressure. Thank you to everyone who sent their best wishes”
