To mark its 30th anniversary year, Billiards Digest has launched two new video-based features for both its magazine and billiardsdigest.com Web site that celebrate the greatest championship matches and most amazing single shots in the game's recent history.
Debuting in the January 2008 issue, the new “30 Over 30” feature counts down the greatest championship-final matches over the last three decades — and refers readers to video from those matches on billiardsdigest.com. The January edition covers Nos. 30-28, ranging from the 2005 World Pool Championship to the 1991 U.S. Open 9-Ball Championship.
Also launching in January, “The Accu-Stats Stroke of Genius” spotlights a new jaw-dropping pool shot every month, starting with the famed two-rail kick by Efren Reyes in the case game of the Sands Regency XXI in 1995. A video and diagram of each shot are available at billiardsdigest.com.
“30 Over 30” is sponsored by Predator Cues, and “The Accu-Stats Stroke of Genius” is presented by PoolDawg.com, with video provided by Accu-Stats Video Productions.
Founded in 1978, Billiards Digest is pool's premier publication, providing readers with expert news reporting, tournament coverage, player profiles, bold editorials, and pool-playing instruction.
