On Saturday, January 31st, 2009 players from all over Colorado participated in a last chance CSI qualifier for The NCS National Championships Series to be held in Las Vegas next month. The 8-ball qualifying tournament was held at the Wynkoop Brewing Company in downtown Denver.
After Jeff Crawford lost his first match he battled through the losers side eliminating players left and right. Jeff ended up finishing 3rd place and since Dino Devoe declined to go to Las Vegas third place runner-up Jeff accepted the invitation.
Bill Skinner lost the hot-seat match to Dino 6-5 but then came back to double-dip Dino in the finals with wins of 5-0 & 5-1 and to be crowned the tournament champion and another Colorado representative at the CSI Nationals Championships.
WPBA Touring Pro and house pro at the Wynkoop Melissa Little hosted this event and broadcasted live Internet matches throughout the day. Melissa plans for future live matches through her website www.melissalittle.com. Her prestigious and annual 15 Rack “Viper Challenge” will be aired live at the Wynkoop March 28-29, 2009. So mark your calendars.
