This year, Big Daddy's Billiards located at 7954 Baltimore Annapolis Boulevard in Glen Burnie, Maryland has been keeping the various games alive in the mid-Atlantic region with the most recent event being the Maryland Open 2009 14.1 Straight Pool Championship which took place during this month.
Next up, room owners Richard and Cynthia Molineiro will play host to the ten ball fanatics in the area over the weekend of August 1st and 2nd in the form of a qualifying tournament for a spot to get them into the 2009 NCS 10-Ball National Championship scheduled for September 5-7, 2009 at the Golden Nugget in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The $60 entry, race to seven (BCAPL rules), true double elimination tournament will begin registration at 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 1st. The NCS is open to all U.S citizens and permanent residents who have at least resided in the U.S full-time the previous twelve consecutive months prior to the listed qualifier.
