Big Daddy's Billiards located at 7954 Baltimore Annapolis Boulevard in Glen Burnie, Maryland, has been the happening place in Maryland to shoot stick for some time now. The room expanded this past year to offer up more tables for the locals and now will offer an open division ten-ball event monthly to compliment the already existing weekly (Saturday) tournament.
The monthly tournament will add $200 with sixteen players and takes place every first Saturday of the month. Last month's event on March 7th brought in twenty players including the likes of recently crowned WPBA Regional Tour Champion Ming Ng and such other regional giants as Manuel Chau, Danny Green, Rick Cager, Shawn Toni, Cheryl Squire, Bruce Jones, Tom Lyons, Tommy Kay, and Curtis Branker.
Just like the weekly ten ball tournaments on Saturday at 2 pm (which offer “super racks” worth $100 a pop), the monthly event will begin at the same time with an entry of merely $20. Races are to five on both sides. So, dust off your cues and make your way down to Big Daddy's on April 4th as the field is expected to draw at least thirty-two players or more this time around.
