Midway through day three of the Big Apple 9-Ball Classic, the field is thinning rapidly.
On the winners side, defending champion Johnny Archer was sent to the left side of the board via a 10-6 loss to Robb Saez. Saez will next face Thomas Engert who proved his Challenge of Champions win over Efren Reyes was no fluke as he defeated Reyes again 10-5 on Saturday. The other winners side match will pit Ralf Souquet against Kid Delicious Danny Basavich.
The one loss side is now down to just eight players with Jose Parica facing Johnny Archer, Niels Feijen playing Efren Reyes, Tony Crosby vs Alan Rolon and Earl Strickland vs Gabe Owen.
