Tommy Kennedy and his SE Open 9-Ball Tour held their latest tour stop at Mr Cues 2 in Atlanta Georgia over the weekend of February 10th - 11th with a field of talent that included Kennedy, Wade Crane, Stevie Moore, Cliff Joyner, Bruce Berrong and WPBA star Sarah Rousey.
There is no doubt that Mr Cues 2 is one of the top rooms in Northern Georgia with a great room owner and staff. The fans truly know the game and always show the players great southern hospitality.
Day one at the event saw the non-cashing players eliminated. Part of that group were the top non-cashing female Angelia Florez and top junion finisher Shawn Foder. Both players earned $50 in bonus money for their finishes.
Day two saw Doug Young take the hot-seat with a dominating 9-2 win over Travis Dorn. Dorn went to the one loss side and found Bruce Berrong on a roll. Berrong had been making his way through the one loss side with a stop in the finals on his mind. Berrong eliminated Dorn 9-6 to earn a match against Young in the finals.
As dominating as Young was in the hot-seat match, Berrong was just as dominating in the finals as he cruised to an 11-4 win and first place.
