Belinda Campos Calhoun took home the honors in the ladies division at the sixth stop of the Fast Eddie's 9 Ball Tour in San Antonio at the Fast Eddie's - Embassy Oaks location on Sunday, July 20. Twenty three ladies came to show their stuff in the River City!
Top picks in the field were Vivian Villa real, Belinda Campos Calhoun, Leslie Anne Rogers, Audra Carter and Amanda Lampert. World class and nationally ranked talent went deep in this field!
Jennifer Kraber and Amanda Lampert finished in a nice 5-6th place finish after defeating some great players.
Anne Mayes, retired touring pro, cuemaker supreme of Annie "O" Custom Cues and winner of last month's Tour event in Beaumont, had a great showing with a 4th place finish.
Melinda Bailey took the long road after her opening round loss to Jennifer Kraber. She went on to vanquish Sophie Lopez, Kim Pierce, Michelle Cortez, Amanda Lampert and Anne Mayes before losing to Audra Carter in the finals of the one loss side for a great 3rd place finish.
Audra Carter, Hunter Classics Tour Most Improved Player last year, overcame Leslie Anne Rogers, Michelle Cortez and Anne Mayes before losing to Belinda Campos Calhoun, 7-5, in the finals of the winner's bracket. Audra defeated Melinda Bailey, 5-3, in the finals of the one loss side to meet Belinda in the finals.
The long day took its toll on Audra as Belinda dominated the finals, 7-0. Congratulations to both these fine competitors.
