Beau Runningen Wins Stop #9 of the Mezz LA 9 Ball Series

Stop #9 of the Mezz LA 9 Ball Series opened up to a tough field of SoCal pool players, with Beau Runningen (735) taking down his FIRST tournament win in the series! Beau had a tough first round draft but defeated Cody Gragg (627) 9-5 in a single race final.

Beau had a tough first round win against David Butler (658), followed by an early defeat to Rhino Lay (614). He dusted off the loss quickly, and stayed laser focused the remainder of the tournament, taking down Chris Santana (574), Bob Jocz (581), Joe Hanink (578), newcomer Neoen “DT” Liu (581), and Stop #7 champion Jerry Lazzareschi (630). Now in full stroke, Beau avenged his first round defeat and was able to beat Rhino, followed by a loser’s round final win against Chaokun Li (599) before winning the final.

Cody had a strong showing this event as well leading up to the final, defeating Joseph Leon (580), Terrence Lee (575), Jose G. Centeno (638), and Jerry Lazzareschi (630) before winning the hotseat match against Chaokun Li.

A few new players have joined the series: Mike Tran, Derrick Cabrera, Nuoen “DT” Liu, Tracy Phan, Yen Huynh, and Larry Torres.

New members are joining weekly and the member base is now over 135 players! We have only TWO more regular season monthly tournaments for players to put up points, along with 3 Weeklies tournaments. There is still plenty of time to get on the Leaderboard and qualify in the Top 32 or 64!
