Day two is complete at the BCA Open 9-Ball Championships with two rounds of matches finished.
Allison Fisher, the #1 seed in the ladies division, survived a close match with Ga-Young Kim. The match was tied at 6-6 when Kim jarred a 2-9 combo. The 9-ball stayed in the jaws of the pocket, while the 2-ball rolled to the other side of the table. Fisher calmly banked the 2-ball into the 9-ball to claim the lead at 7-6. Both players exchanged 'break and run' racks on their breaks before Fisher broke and ran the last rack for the 9-7 win.
The men's side saw a couple surprise results on Monday evening. Santos Sambajon beat Earl Strickland 11-4 in a match that saw Sambajon playing great 9-ball and Strickland the victim of a few difficult rolls.
Reigning BCA Open 9-Ball Champion Charlie Williams lost a hill-hill heartbreaker to Niels Feijen on Monday night. Williams will face the winner of the match between Nick Van Den Berg and David Relijic on Tuesday.
Complete brackets are posted for both divisions and all Monday matches are entered.
