Mark Griffin says “It's on. The money is posted, the venue secured and the tables reserved.”
The return of the BCA National 9 Ball Championships will be held at the Plaza Hotel and Casino in exciting Downtown Las Vegas November 16-21, 2004. Rich Rose, President, Sports and Entertainment for the Plaza, responded to the posting by stating, “We are excited to be working with Mark Griffin and the BCA Pool League to bring back the 9 Ball Championships. This tournament also signals the return of championship billiards to the Plaza, and we look forward to hosting more BCA events in the years to come.”
The event is the direct result of input from the BCA Pool League player base stating they would like to see the return of this event. Mark listened, agreed and stated that “the return of this event is what the players wanted and I agree it is long overdue.”
The excitement over this event is growing on a daily basis and we are looking forward to producing the many scheduled events for this Tournament.
The return of the US Open One Pocket Event ($5,000 added) is also in response to the player's desires as well as the Bank Pool Event ($2,000 added).
Downtown Las Vegas will be a great venue for this tournament and we at the BCA Pool League are excited about the overall accessibility of the Plaza at the top of the Fremont Street Experience.
Our goal…To create and improve opportunities for pool players of all abilities through fair governance and equitable policies.
